Terms and Conditions for Junk Removal Services in Cyprus

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Junk In Our Trunk, your go-to provider for eco-conscious junk removal in Cyprus.


By requesting, booking, or accepting our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.



1. ABOUT US


Junk In Our Trunk specializes in property clearance services, including property clearance, furniture and bulky item removal, junk collection, garden waste removal, and related clearance services across Limassol, Parekklisia, and surrounding areas.

2. QUOTES


Quotes may be provided based on photographs, videos, and information supplied by the customer. 


Customers must provide accurate information and clearly show all items they wish to have removed as part of our eco-conscious junk removal services. 


Our quote is based on the information provided at the time of assessment. If the amount, type, weight, access requirements, or volume of items is significantly different when we arrive, we may revise the quote before starting additional work.


No additional work will be carried out at an increased price without discussing this with the customer.



3. BOOKINGS


A booking is confirmed once the collection date, service, and agreed price have been accepted. 


Same-day or next-day collection is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. 


Arrival times may occasionally be affected by traffic, previous jobs, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will aim to communicate any significant delay.



4. ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY


The customer is responsible for ensuring we have permission and reasonable access to the property and items being removed. 


Customers should inform us in advance about: 

- Stairs 

- Lack of lift access 

- Restricted parking 

- Narrow entrances 

- Long carrying distances 

- Heavy or unusually large items 

- Any known access difficulties


Additional work or unexpected access requirements may affect the original quote.



5. ITEMS FOR REMOVAL


The customer must clearly identify which items are to be removed. 


Once items have been loaded and removed as agreed, we cannot guarantee that they can be returned or recovered. The customer confirms that they own the items or have permission from the lawful owner to authorize their removal. Junk In Our Trunk is not responsible for disputes arising where a customer instructs us to remove items without proper authority.



6. ITEMS WE MAY REFUSE


We reserve the right to refuse items that we cannot safely or appropriately collect, transport, or handle. This may include hazardous materials, chemicals, asbestos, medical waste, unknown substances, or other restricted materials.


Customers must tell us about any potentially hazardous or unusual materials before booking. 


We may stop work if we reasonably believe an item or working environment presents a safety risk.



7. WASTE AND RESPONSIBLE REMOVAL


Junk In Our Trunk does not support fly-tipping. Collected items and waste will be handled and directed to appropriate disposal, green points, or other authorized routes according to the type of material and applicable requirements.


We reserve the right to refuse materials for which we do not have a suitable collection or disposal route.



8. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES


Customers are responsible for: 

- Providing accurate job information 

- Identifying all items to be removed 

- Ensuring lawful authority to remove the items 

- Providing safe and reasonable access 

- Informing us of hazardous or unusual materials 

- Keeping children and pets away from the active working area where appropriate



9. DAMAGE AND EXISTING CONDITIONS


Our team will take reasonable care while carrying out the agreed work. 


Customers should tell us about fragile surfaces, narrow access areas, damaged furniture, weak structures, or other known risks before work begins. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or problems that were not reasonably visible or disclosed.


Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.



10. PAYMENT


The agreed payment amount and payment method will be confirmed with the customer. 


Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due when the agreed service has been completed. 


Additional items or work requested on arrival may require a revised quote.



11. CANCELLATIONS


If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. 


Where applicable, consumers may have statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights under Cyprus and European Union consumer law.


If you specifically request that a booked service begins during an applicable withdrawal period, additional consumer law requirements may apply. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights.



12. PHOTOS AND VIDEOS


Photos and videos sent to us may be used to assess and quote a job. 


We will not intentionally publish identifiable customer or private property images for advertising without appropriate permission. We may ask separately for permission to use genuine before-and-after job photographs for marketing purposes.



13. WEATHER AND UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES


Outdoor collections may occasionally be delayed or rearranged due to severe weather, vehicle issues, safety concerns, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. 


Where possible, we will contact the customer and arrange an alternative collection time.



14. SERVICE SATISFACTION


We take pride in our work and aim to provide a reliable, professional, and straightforward service.


If you have a concern about a completed job, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can review the matter and try to resolve it fairly.



15. PRIVACY


Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.



16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS


We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. 


The latest version will be published on our website with the updated date shown above.



17. GOVERNING LAW


These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. 


Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable Cyprus or European Union law.
